About me - Rob is from the U.K. and has been obsessed with the guitar and music since an early age. He studied in Canterbury, wrote music for film, played with several bands on the college circuit then moved to the US and formed his own group, 'The Blue Monks,' in which he sang lead vocals and played guitar. The band released several CD's and performed hundreds of shows including numerous festival appearances. Rob also played with an acoustic group consisting of veteran blues & jazz musicians, several electric instrumental jazz-fusion groups, an eclectic jam band and worked as a session musician. He has been interviewed by periodicals such as 'Guitarist' and 'Guitar One' magazine. Rob has been teaching guitar for over 15 years and has an instructional guitar book entitled 'Jazz For The Blues Guitarist' published by Cherry Lane Music. He currently lives in Los Angeles, writes music for various projects, teaches guitar at Green Brooms Music Academy in Santa Monica and plays gigs around L.A.
