About me - Soul, Inspirational, R&B, singer and songwriter, Nicole Rivera (a.k.a) Nikki NJoi, was born on August 20, 1991, in Queens, New York. There has always been a strong spiritual connection to God and a desire to be in the church and sing for as long as Nicole could remember. Some of her influences like Alicia Keys, India Arie, Lauryn Hill, Colbie Callait, Adele, Kirk Franklin, Mary Mary, Stevie Wonder... amongst many others inspired her to write her own songs at the age of fourteen. Nikki NJoi has performed with various choirs and music programs since she was in elementary school. Her beautiful voice has brought about many solo opportunities and there is no limit to the amount of hearts that she will captivate with her spirited voice. Nicole has performed in many different venues in the New York and New Jersey area such as cafes, restaurants, night clubs, churches, parties, libraries, and graduations. The great feedback that she received after performing at an Open Mic led her to appear on the front page of the New Jersey Glen Ridge Newspaper. Nicole Rivera was accepted into Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, also known as the "FAME" school, one of the most prestigious schools in the world. She attended as a vocal major, who now has the ability to sings in four languages, French, Italian, German, and English. Nikki's voice accompanied with her passion, work hand in hand leading her into a road of success. One of Nikki NJoi's biggest dreams is to pour her soul into a song and share it with the world, inspiring, changing and giving hope to people's lives.
