About me - Trever Williams is a trained classical pianist, composer, singer-songwriter, producer, poet, and performer from Ocean City, NJ - (born in Somers Point on Christmas Day, 1989). Having fallen in love with music from an early age, Trev first performed his own work for piano in Carnegie Hall at the age of nine. In the years to follow, his passion for classical music branched out and he gained significant interest in rock, industrial, and hip hop music, songwriting, poetry, photography and acting. He currently studies composition as an undergraduate at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, and fervently plans on continuing his graduate studies, and eventually attaining a PhD in Music Composition. In August of 2010, Williams released his first solo alternative pop record, Robot Karma, which can be sampled and purchased by download or CD order on ITunes, Amazon, CDBaby or a menagerie of other music-related websites. The collaborators in this project were John Mitchell, the album artist, Stan Schwertly, who recorded backing vocals, Patrick McConnell, who helped to produce/master the album, and Bryce Lawn, who recorded his own spoken poetry on the track Biological Motherboard. He has been blessed with a great many extraordinary teachers, primarily Meral Guneyman, Donna Kligerman, Harvey Wedeen, David Ludwig, Linda Reichert, Stefan Young, Harold Oliver, and his current teacher in composition and electroacoustic music, John Mallia.
